ACTION ALERT: Sign Your Organization on in Support of AHCIA

CALLING ALL ORGANIZATIONS AND BUSINESSES TO DEMONSTRATE SUPPORT FOR THE AHCIA AND THE HOUSING CREDIT

The ACTION Campaign is circulating an organizational sign-on letter calling on Members of Congress to support the reintroduced Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act (AHCIA). This legislation would help address the country’s severe shortage of affordable rental housing by expanding, strengthening, and protecting the Housing Credit. The House version was recently reintroduced and an identical Senate bill is expected to be reintroduced soon. The House bill has more than one-quarter of the House of Representatives cosponsoring it! We hope to have a strong, bipartisan list of original cosponsors in the Senate as well. ACTION will send this letter to Congress soon after the Senate version is reintroduced.

All current ACTION Campaign members will be included in the letter, so if you are already an ACTION Campaign member, there is nothing more you need to do to be included. We are working to demonstrate support from businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies across the country. Please help us by sharing the letter with your networks to show broad support for the Housing Credit and grow our membership.

Similarly, ACTION is circulating a letter demonstrating support from local elected leaders, including mayors, county board chairs, county executives, and equivalent elected positions in support of the AHCIA and the Housing Credit. Please contact your local elected leaders to tell them to sign that letter to Congress in support of the AHCIA.
