As you know, the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act (AHCIA) of 2021, S. 1136 and H.R. 2573, was introduced on April 15. Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan is leading a letter in partnership with the ACTION Campaign to support the recently reintroduced bipartisan, bicameral AHCIA of 2021. Please reach out and ask your Mayors to support the AHCIA of 2021. Mayors can contact Ayrianne Parks at aparks@enterprisecommunity.org to add their name or ask questions about the bill or the letter. The deadline for signatures is Monday, May 3.
A number of Mayors signed a similar letter last year. Please be sure to mention to your Mayor if they supported in the past.
Join the ACTION Campaign!
Another great way to build support for the AHCIA is to encourage your partners to join the over 2,400 businesses and organizations who are already members of the ACTION Campaign. Membership is free!
By joining the ACTION Campaign today, your organization will be included as a signatory on a letter to Congress in support of the AHCIA. The letter will include all existing ACTION members, so make sure to encourage your partners (developers, local affordable housing organizations, contractors, property management firms—anyone who participates in affordable housing utilizing the Housing Credit) to join ACTION now.
